Men's dodgeball comes to the Castro

Well, this is a bit different. Men's dodgeball?

My friend, DJ Go, has been deejaying for the San Francisco Rec & Park's Women's Dodgeball for some time now. And now they're about to launch a new all-male event in the Castro at the Eureka Valley Rec Center. 

Men's Dodgeball will be held every Saturday from 1:00pm until 3:00pm starting September 10th and continuing through December 10th. Players can pay $33 for the entire season or just drop in for a game for only $5. Check out their Facebook page to stay up to date.

I'm not coordinated enough to play, but I might become a cheerleader if DJ Go manages to get some of our friends to compete. And you can bet that if they ever get a game going of strip dodgeball (semi-NSFW), I'll be there with camera in tow!

SF Boylesqye strips at Truck - Part 2

In my last post, I shared some videos from SF Boylesque's Bohemian Brethren's "Brother-Wood" performance at Truck in July. To whet your appetite for their next show on August 11, 2011, here are some more videos from that night. The final set is also now posted.

SF Boylesque strips at Truck - Part 1

Longtime fans of the Big Gay Frat House may recall that at the last fundraiser held in our home, SF Boylesque was not only the beneficiary but also did the performances. Jugglers, dancers, the strongest man in the world ... and, of course, choreographed strip tease acts. They haven't had a regular place to perform in a while, but on Thursday, July 14th, the Bohemian Brethren -- SF Boylesque's male strip tease team -- performed at Truck, a bar in San Francisco's SOMA district.

And before I go much farther, let me add that they will be performing there again on Thursday, August 11.

The theme for their July performance was "Brother-Wood," a tribute to Hollywood films that didn't star SF Boylesque, but should have. Films like Black Swan, Psycho, and others.
